My frist entry!

Just started Intro to Entrepreneurship Business 110. The Class just started so there is little to talk about with what we have learned in the class, However, I have learned quite a bit from other courses that I have taken at Brigham Young University. I took a course last winter semester called IBC or Integrated Business Core. In that class, we were given money from the school and told to start our own business with random classmates. It was quite an adventure to start our little business. I found that to run a successful business you can't think of it as leading the business you have to think about it as leading the people in the business and they will lead the business. It's people then the business not the other way around. It took me a while to learn that concept. I started IBC with the mindset that our business needed to be the best. I pushed the people hard without much reward. In just a short few days people had lost energy and lost the focus of what we were doing. I became frustrated and easily irritated with them think "Why can't they just do what I tell them to." I had totally forgotten that I was not leading a company I was leading people. After a little reflecting and learning, I realized that I needed to make a better connection with all of my employees. I started to spend more time with them and ask deeper questions. I then later learned that that is what set our company on the right course again. After learning all of this I am excited to take this class and learn more about how to be a better entrepreneurship leader. I am excited to know how to start, grow, and lead a business into absolute greatness.
